What makes supplement production different

Supplement manufacturers run many products on the same equipment. A line might run a botanical powder in the morning, a vitamin blend after lunch, and a protein product the next day. That creates specific demands on equipment:

  • Frequent changeovers. Every minute spent disassembling, cleaning and reassembling is lost production. Equipment has to come apart and go back together quickly.
  • Allergen and cross-contact control. Residue from one product can’t carry into the next. Crevices, hidden surfaces and hard-to-reach corners are liabilities.
  • Dust. Fine powders get everywhere. Enclosures, guards and dust-collection connections have to fit well and clean easily.
  • Documented sanitation. Manufacturers operate cleaning and sanitation programs under the dietary supplement cGMP regulation (21 CFR Part 111), and equipment that’s easy to clean makes that program easier to execute and verify.

Built for fast, thorough changeovers

We design and fabricate supplement equipment around changeover time and cleanability:

  • Fewer parts, fewer fasteners. Consolidated weldments replace bolted assemblies wherever possible, leaving fewer places for powder to collect and fewer parts to track.
  • Clamp connections. Tri-clamp and quick-release connections instead of bolted flanges on parts that are removed for cleaning.
  • No hidden surfaces. Continuous welds, sealed hollow sections, radiused corners and no horizontal ledges in product zones.
  • Easy inspection. Product-contact surfaces can be seen and reached, so sanitation can confirm they’re clean.

Materials and finishes

Most product-contact parts are 316L stainless steel, which holds up to acidic, salty and botanical ingredients and to aggressive cleaning chemicals. 304 stainless is standard for frames, guards and non-contact structure. We back purge full-penetration welds and deliver finishes to your specification, with passivation available through our partner network. From one replacement part to production quantities

Supplement manufacturers often need one part urgently, a cracked hopper or a missing guard, and then need the same part for a second or third line. We build to your drawing, or reverse-engineer from the original part, and fixture repeat items for consistent production runs.
